We use a thick mylar which will last for hundreds of uses when cleaned and stored properly. One of our more popular stencils, this growth chart provides a really great value. Since it's reusable you can create multiple growth chart rulers as long as you clean and store it properly. We use a very thick and durable material that will allow you to have the stencil for years it just needs a quick cleaning after use. A growth chart is a great way to have fun with your boy or girl and keep track of their growth over the years. It's also a good tool to motivate them to get their sleep and eat well. The project should be relatively low cost since you really just need a long piece of wood for the ruler, the stencil, and some paint. Ideally you'll want to use a sponge or small stencil roller but it can also be spray painted just be sure to use a low pressure can with a small spray tip. This will help you avoid any over-spray or bleed when using the stencil. We also have customers who make their own growth charts and sell them which makes this an even more useful tool. The stencil sheet itself is 18"x12" so you'll have plenty of extra material to mask down and cover the piece of wood you're using. The graphic is a perfect 12" ruler with the numbers 1-6 so you can mark off each foot of your ruler. It's also fun to add stickers and other markings to remember your child's progress. It's a relatively easy project to work on since the stencil itself doesn't have much detail to paint. It can also be used on a wall if you'd like. Just make sure the stencil is pressed down firmly when you're painting it to get a clean result. Depending on your surface it works well with a variety of paints.
